Constructed from Canadian Hemlock, the sauna offers excellent heat retention, structural stability, and long-term durability. Hemlock’s dense grain and natural resistance to heat and moisture make it one of the most dependable woods for infrared sauna construction, while its clean finish complements both modern homes and professional environments.

A frameless 8mm tempered safety glass door provides strength, insulation, and a clean, contemporary aesthetic, finished with a corrosion-resistant stainless steel handle designed for frequent daily use.

At roughly 10 cm away - which is more representative of actual seated use - levels are typically in the 0–20 mG range. This is considered low and well within the normal range for full spectrum infrared saunas.

Is this suitable for commercial environments?

For saunas installed in gyms, spas, hotels and other high-use environments, additional timber care is required due to increased exposure to perspiration, moisture and repeated heating and cooling cycles.

Sauna timber is supplied untreated unless otherwise stated. For commercial installations, we strongly recommend:

• Treating benches and other high-contact timber surfaces with a suitable sauna bench treatment or paraffin oil before first use.
• Using towels or sauna bench covers to minimise direct moisture absorption.
• Wiping benches dry regularly throughout the day and after periods of heavy use.
• Allowing the sauna to ventilate and dry thoroughly after use.
• Inspecting and maintaining the timber regularly, including reapplying sauna treatment when required.

Natural timber will expand, contract and move in response to changes in heat and moisture. Correct treatment and maintenance are particularly important in commercial environments to minimise warping, cracking and movement.
